Meet the Team

Jeremy Stewart BVetMed CertVR MRCVS - Head Veterinary Surgeon and Head of Region

Jeremy joined the team at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in 2000. He qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1991 and went on to work at the RSPCA Harmsworth Hospital for nine years.  In this time he obtained a Certificate in Veterinary Radiology.

Jeremy remains a familiar face to many from his time at the Harmsworth and where he was involved in the six year filming of the BBC Television series Animal Hospital. Jeremy progressed to Hospital Director at the Harmsworth before joining the Goddard Veterinary Group.

During his time at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital Jeremy has seen the Region develop from just the Hospital to now including eleven branch practices employing over twenty vets.  Jeremy is also a trustee for the Blue Cross animal charity.

Adrian Hayter - Regional Manager

Adrian's background was originally in retail management and he has been involved in veterinary practice management since 1999. Adrian is Practice Manager for the hospital and the eleven branches in the region.

Adrian lives with his wife and a menagerie of waifs and strays including their two dogs Mac and Monty, five cats and two tortoises one of which is blind. Adrian enjoys running and cycling and has ridden the London to Brighton charity bike ride every year for the last ten years and hopes to continue to do so for as long as possible.

 

Mattea Lenhoff BVetMed MRCVS - Hospital Manager

Mattea graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2007 and practiced as a vet until 2016 when she decided to move into hospital management.  Having spent two years working in a charity, Mattea places particular importance on animal welfare and ensuring that their stay with us is as comfortable as possible.

Mattea has been caring for animals since she was young and has a family of cats who live with her parents.  She also has her own little cat called Tabitha, a rescue cat.  Mattea enjoys dining out and visits to the theatre and musicals in her spare time.

 

Alonso Dupuy DVM PhD(Hons) GPcert(FelP) MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Alonso joined the Mandeville Hospital in 2002 and is now a senior clinician at the hospital.  He graduated from the Veterinary School of the Complutense University of Madrid in 1998.  He then went to work for two of the busiest RSPCA hospitals in the UK (Manchester and Harmsworth Hospitals) for four years where he was also involved the BBC television series Animal Hospital.  Alonso has published several papers in veterinary medicine journals both in the UK and internationally.  He holds a Certificate in Feline Practice (European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies) since 2008.  Alonso is also a PhD holder in Pharmacology and Toxicology since 2016. 

Alonso has two rescue cats from the MVH and is a music lover and enjoys playing saxophone in a band during his spare time.

Alexandra Brown BSc BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Alexandra joined the Goddard Group in 2011 and has been working at the Mandeville on Tuesdays and Thursdays since June 2014.  Alexandra enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a special interest in rabbits and rodents.

   

Henrietta Fforde-Lutter BA(Hons) Vet MB MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Henrietta joined the Mandevile team in August 2016.  She completed her veterinary training at Cambridge University and has a degree in Physiology & Development.  Henrietta enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and is particularly fanatical about all things canine - her Sprocker Spaniel Tinker being the apple of her eye!  Her hobbies revolve around music and theatre, food and cooking and the great outdoors.

Miteki Degawa BVSc MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Miteki joined the Mandeville team in November 2016 having lived in Bristol for 6 years.  She graduated from the University of Bristol in 2015 and went on to complete a 14 month internship at Highcroft Veterinary Referrals.  Her time there was split between learning from veterinary specialists of various fields, managing hospital inpatients and working emergency shifts.  In her free time Miteki likes to keep fit, socialise, nap and loves spoiling her naughty rescue cat Momo.

 

Sunil Thanki BVSc MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Sunil joined the team at the Mandeville in January 2017.  He completed his training at the University of Bristol, School of Veterinary Science.  Since graduating he has spent time working in mixed and equine practice in South West Wales and Cambridge treating "all creatures great and small".  Most recently Sunil has been working at the RSPCA Small Animal Veterinary Hospital in Sydney where he was involved with a lot of emergency medicine and surgical cases.  Sunil enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but has a particular interest in ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine and is currently studying towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Cert AVP). Sunil is a keen sportsman and in his spare time he can be found playing football, climbing or trail running.  He is an avid cricket fan and always makes time to go to live international games, especially when the Indian cricket team is in town.

 

Tanya Wicks - Registered Veterinary Nurse
Head Nurse

Tanya joined Goddard Veterinary Group in 2005 when she worked at our Eastcote surgery.  She joined the team at Mandville in 2009 where she has been working on her A1 Assessor training and in 2010 was promoted to Head Nurse. Tanya is a keen horse rider and spends most of her spare time down at the yard tending to Khan or walking Ruby her boxer dog.

Deputy Head Nurse

Geeta began nursing in 1998 working in small animal practice and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2002. Geeta has a keen interest in training student nurses and gained her A1 assessor in 2003 and completed the examiner training in 2010 to become a RCVS Veterinary Nurse Practical examiner. She completed her Clinical Coach training in 2011. Geeta's spare time consists mainly of going to the gym and spending time with her cat Daisy.

 

Keeley Ewart - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Keeley originally joined the Group in 2010 as a locum nurse before being offered a permanent position at the Harrow Weald practice.  She joined the team at Mandeville in 2013 and is now part of the emergency out of hours night team.  Keeley has a keen interest in emergency and critical care, and enjoys hand-rearing orphaned kittens brought into the practice.

Sarah Beazant - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Sarah has been part of the team at the Mandeville since 2012.  Animals have always been a part of her life and in her teens she was lucky enough to have a pony   Rabbits, guinea pigs and mice (and one very special cat) have made her home their home over the years but dogs have taken over!  Breeds and breed-showing are an ongoing fascination for Sarah but agility is the sport where she has found a true affinity.  Any behaviour, communication or training issues relating to domesticated animals are her particular interest.

 

Michaela Pearce - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Michaela joined the team at the Mandeville in 2012 and qualified as an RVN in 2016.  She has always loved animals and has three cats at home - Max, Tom and Louis and a hamster called Dougie.  Louis was rehomed by Michaela after he was handed in at the hospital as a stray.  Outside of work Michaela enjoys Zumba classes and spending time with her family.

Gillian Allsop - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Gillian studied veterinary nursing at St John's Central College in Co. Cork and qualified as an RVN in 2014.  Originally from Dublin,Gillian has a little brown Jack Russell called Bonnie who lives back home in Ireland.  Gillian's hobbies include walking, hiking and tennis.

 

Betsy Malamah-Thomas - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Betsy qualified as an RVN in 2015 then graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Veterinary Nursing from the Royal Vet College in 2016.  She first worked for Goddards in 2010 at the Greenford branch.  Since qualifying Betsy has managed to gain experience in both first opinion and referral practices.  She is currently studying for a nursing certificate in anaesthesia and her other passion lies in emergency and critical care nursing.  Betsy owns two sibling rabbits called Ernest and Bella.

Shanice Mellor - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Shanice qualified as an RVN in 2017, graduating from Middlesex University and is now a clinical coach.  Shanice enjoys going to the theatre and spending time with her Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Pip who she rescued from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

 

Natalie Hubbard - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Natalie joined the team at the Mandeville in 2012 and qualified as an RVN in 2017.  At home she has two Jack Russell dogs, two budgies and a hamster.  Natalie is obsessed with dogs and has a keen interest in nursing rodents.  Natalie's previous pets include a tarantula called Boris!

 

Rochelle Smith - Student Veterinary Nurse

Rochelle joined the team in 2012 and is currently completing her final year of veterinary nurse training.  She enjoys all aspects of nursing, especially critical care.  Rochelle has four cats at home and she enjoys crafts and photography in her spare time.

  

Carol Cartwright - Nursing Assistant

Carol joined the team at Mandeville in the autumn of 2016 having recently returned to veterinary nursing after a twenty year break to bring up her family.  Carol original qualified in 1984 and worked in private practice in London for 10 years .  In the past Carol has owned donkeys, a horse and a dog and she now has a rescue cate called Rosie.  In her spare time Carol enjoys DIY, baking, badminton and helping children with reading at a local primary school.

Lucy Harrigan - Regional Management Assistant

Lucy joined the management team in February 2015 having worked as an executive personal assistant in various corporations for many years.  Her daughter, Daisy, is a student nurse at the Goddard Brixton branch.  Lucy loves all animals, especially cats and she two rescue cats at home.

  

Carole Preedy - Head Receptionist

Carole as been part of the reception team at the Mandeville since 2001 and was promoted to senior receptionist in 2015.  Carole is also the bereavement advisor for the Goddard Group.  She has various pets and children.

Helen Stewart - Receptionist

Helen joined the reception team at the Mandeville in May 2014.  She has two children and three cats, one of whom was a rescue cat from the hospital.  Helen enjoys reading, socialising with friends and occasional visits to the gym in her spare time.

 

Seerjana Raichhetri - Receptionist

Seerjana joined the reception team at the Mandeville in November 2014.  Prior to this she was travelling for two years and volunteered at wildlife sanctuaries around South East Asia, meeting lots of furry friends along the way and amazing people too.  In 2013 she was lucky enough to undertake an internship for four months as a vet's assistant at Lao Wildlife Sanctuary - waking up to the calls of gibbons is something she will never forget!

Seerjana has recently completed an Animal Psychology Diploma and a Veterinary Support Assistant Diploma Level 3.  She has two cats, Maya and Gris, who are probably the most spoilt cats in the world but she wouldn't have it any other way.

Sana Din - Receptionist

Sana joined the reception team in October 2015.  She has a keen interest in animal behaviour and welfare.  She has owned animals all her life and currently cares for a hand-raised kitten called Pancakes.  When not working Sana enjoys going to concerts and reading.

 

Christopher Fry - Receptionist

Chris joined the reception team in November 2015.  He graduated from the University of Kent in 2014 with a degree in History.  Prior to joining Goddards Chris worked for a year at St Paul's Catholic College in Sunbury assisting SEN students.  Outside of work Christ enjoys spending time with his mates at the pub, reading a good book every now and then and making sure he is up to date with current affairs.  Chris owns a three-legged ginger cat called Jacob.
